Q: What time of year do you see aurora ?                                            

A:  There has been aurora as early as August 10th.                                                                                                                              


Q: What colors do you see ?

A: We see beautiful ribbons across the sky with the colors of purple, blue
    red and green.

Q: What causes the northern lights ?

A:The northern lights are caused when the sun gives off 
   electrically-charged particals from solar flares.
   The earth's magnetic poles act like well a magnet to draw
   those particles to the polar regions. When the particles
   interact with the atmosphere they give off beautiful colors.

Q: where do you see aurora ?

A: aurora is most common around the arctic circle, but during 
    particularly strong solar flares, they can be seen as far south
    as Arizona.
