Visiting Alaska by RV is a great family adventure. We do it all the time ourselves--and we live here! Our state is probably the most RV friendly land in the country, with services and facilities for the RV traveller everywhere.
When you drive the Alaska Highway and explore from the northern central part of the state, visiting communities like Tok, GlennAllen and Valdez, you can circle south by highway or high speed ferry to southcentral Alaska, Anchorage and the Kenai Peninsula communities of Soldotna, Kenai, Homer, Seward and Cooper Landing; before continuing north on your way home through Denali National Park, Fairbanks, North Pole and Delta Junction. Each community offers something unique for it's visitors, but we think you'll find that the Kenai Peninsula, Alaska's Playground, offers the best in terms of fishing, wildlife, scenery, and marine activities.
If you fly into Anchorage you can rent a motorhome from one of many RV Rental Companies, or better yet, you can rent one of our own Rental Motorhomes fully equipped for your Alaskan Adventure here on the Kenai--and it comes with a spot in our Kenai Riverfront RV Park--so you don't have to worry about finding a campsite or fishing spot in our busy fishing community.
If you are travelling with your own RV or a rental motorhome from Anchorage, check out our Alaska Campgrounds page for the best campsites on the Kenai Peninsula, and be sure to contact us for salmon or halibut fishing charter reservations on the Kenai River, Kasilof River, and from the ports of Homer, Seward and Deep Creek.
There are unending possibilities for camping on the Kenai Peninsula, from backpacking into the remote wilderness of the Kenai Mountain Range to kicking back in the comfort of an Alaska State Park or Kenai Wildlife Refuge rental cabin for a small fee, you can really get away from it all on Alaska's Kenai Peninsula!
Our Alaska Campgrounds page will give you a tour of some of the more developed campgrounds on the Kenai Peninsula, helping you plan your visit and be prepared with the right gear.
